An investigation committee, consisting) of five members, lias been set. up by the advisory board of the Presbyterian Church of New Zealand to inquire into financial problems of the church arising out of the present difficult times. The weekly cribbagc function held under the auspices of the Kahut'ia Howling Club’s social committee last, evening was largely attended, and a very enjoyable time was spent. Mrs. McConnell won the ladies’ prize, Mrs. Hannah acting as runner-up. In tile gentlemen's section. Mr. 0. O’Connor was successful, with Mr. Johnson in second position. .The euchre-players will hold a gathering, to-morrow night.
