Thomas, and three companions, it. is ascertained that when the motor of their boat failed, a fresh sea was running which washed over the boat, and the occupants had to bail vigorously. Heavy rain made the visibility poor, but the Minister and bis companions, by tying handkerchiefs to an oar, which they waved, attracted the notice of a coastguard, wlm gave the alarm. The Shoreliam lifeboat was launched, and although darkness was approaching, found the fishing party and took them ashore, cold and soaked, but cheerful.
