Minister of Agriculture, urged a restriction of production, hut guaranteed the maintenance of a minimum price. The total available wheat, including last year's surplus, is 394,000,000 bushels. 11 is curious that though the population is now 41.000,000, compared with 38.CC0.0C0 in 1913. the consumption of wheat has decreased from 312.000.000 to 286.000,000 bushels.
