S. Dean, chairman of the New Zealand Rugby Union committee, at an ojticial dinner on Saturday night. It was essential that the representation at that time should be adequate: He considered that in 1936 New Zealand will secure a. team equally as good as that of 1924. Referring to the lianfurly Shield challenges, Mr. Dean said he dirl not favor altering the rules to prevent minor unions playing for that trophy.
