MISSING BALLOONISTS
TWO REPORTED SAFE FORGED' DOWN IN FOREST RIVIERE, A PIERRE (Quebec), Sept. 9. Captain Francizek Hynek and Lieut. Znigniew Burysynski, Polish balloonists, who had been lost, since September 2 in the Gordon Bemiet balloon race, arrived Here on Saturday. They said their balloon was forced down in the forest at Moreu, 100 miles distant. They were uninjured and had walked all hut 12 miles l>efore reaching hero. The search for Ward Van Orman and Frank Trotter, United States entrants, and.the only other unreportod balloonists, is being continued. It is unofficially announced that the Poles won the distance event, their landing being about 1000 miles I'rom Chicago, where they took off. Van Orman is believed to be somewhere in an isolated portion of Canada.
