The return of fine weather to-day will be welcomed by most people in Gisborne, but especially by pupils of the district who will have to recommence their studies oil Monday next. The first week of the term holidays could not have been bettor so far as the weather was concerned, but for the greater part of this week the cold, wet days were far from pleasant, in particular, from the point of view of the children. Students of the Gisborne High School, however, will have another week to spend before settling down to serious work in the third term, as the re-opening of that school will not take place until September 11.
