For, in the history of Dunedin, there has never been such an effective display of mellow radiance as that placed before the eyes of people who, from certain vantage points, looked toward Arthur street. From the north end, from Anderson’s Bay, and from down the harbor the spectacle was one which made a particularly gracious impression.
