F. von Haast and H. 1). 4‘ickery have given their decision in a case heard in the Hawke’s Bay Adjustment Court, in which the Hawke’s Bay Farmers’ Cooperative Association, Limited, claimed compensation from the Napiei Borough Council for land taken during street-widening 'work in the borough of Napier. The amount of compensation was fixed at £5927 ss. The sum of £324 was awarded as betterment and is to be deducted from the amount of compensation.
