In the report of the Gisborne Chess Club’s visit to Napier last Saturday, an unusual feat was attributed to J. Mason, of the Napier team, who, tho report stated, “quickly disposed of the Gisborne team.” This should have read, “quickly disposed of G. H. Scddon, champion of the Gisborno team.”
