MAORI SETTLEMENT
PERSONNEL OF NEW BOARD The personnel of the newly-consti-tuted Native Land Settlement Board has just been completed and a meeting of the board is to be held shortly in Wellington. The board will comprise the Minister of Native Affairs, Sir Apirana Ngata, the Under-Secretary of the Native Department, Mr. R. N. Jones; the Undersecretary for Lands, Sir. W. Robertson; the Valuer-General, Mr. T. Brook; the financial adviser to the Government, Colonel J.. Esson; the Director-General of Agriculture, Dr. C. J. Reakes; Mr. J. S. Jessep, deputy-chairman of the Unemployment Board; - and Mr. R. B. RuSSell, manager of the Hokianga County.
