PRICES DEPRESSED ALL CLASSES OVER-SUPPLIED (Per Prebs Association.) AUCKLAND, last night. A heavy yarding of fat stock depressed prices at the Westfield sale. Extra choice ox sold to ISs per ICOlbs; choice and prime ox 16s to Ids; ordinary and plain 13s to 15s; prime young cow. and heifer 14s to 17s; ordinary cow 9s to 13s ; heavy prime steers £6 to £7 17s 6(1; lighter prime £5 7s 6d to £6 2s 6d; light prime £4 5s to £5 ss; unfinished and small £2 10s to £4 2s 6(1; extra heavy prime young cows land heifers £4 5s to £4 15s; heavy prime £3 12s 6d to £4 2s 6d; lighter £2 17s 6d to £3 10s ; light cows £2 to £2 15s; others 20s to 27s 6<l Values for sheep were also lower owirie- to excessive numbers. Prime wethers made 11s 9d to 17s; unfinished 11s to 11s 6(1; prime ewes 8s to 11s 6d; others 6s to 7s 6d. There was a keen demand for lambs, with prices fairly steady. Prime lambs made 9s 6d to 14s 6(1; unfinished 8s to 9s. Pigs sold well, a heavy yarding meeting with improved demand. Baconers made 35s to 50s; porkers 15s to 325; 'stores 12s to 16s. Except for small weaners, values for calves dropped sharply. Runners made 25s to £3 3s for an exceptionally choice heifer ; heavy vealers 30s to 365; medium 25s to 235; light 22s to 245; small 12s to 20s; rough 5s to 10s; small and unfinished 3s to Bs.
