“I will not hesitate to impose imprisonment in suitable cases of this kind,” said Mr. J. H. Salmond, S.M., in fining B. C. Brennan £lO for cruelty to animals in the Hawera Court. The charge against Brennan was that he wantonly submitted a cat to unnecessary cruelty by putting it in a mower.
