DOMINION RESULTS REV. MR COX FOR DUNEDIN OTHER CITIES UNCHANGED The outstanding feature of the Mayoral contests in the main centres was the success of the- Rev. E. T. Cox, formerly of- Gisborne-, in displacing the sitting Mayor of- Dunedin. In Wellington, Mr T. 0. A. Hislop was returned unopposed; anil in Auckland and Christchurch -the retiring Mayors were re-elected.

• In New Plymouth, Napier, Hastings, and Lyttelton, among others, the former Majors' were'defeated. Auckland 'ln a l<ehn contest, Mr G. W. Hutchison,' the Citizens’ Association 'candidate, was re-elected Mayor of Auckland' for a 'second form. Mr Hutchison polled 10,(Sol votes and Mr H. <!.. R. Mason, M.l‘. (Labor) 10,2051.
