KNOCKED DOWN BY CAR
MAN SERIOUSLY INJURED (Pei Press Association.) HAMILTON, this day. Grave injuries to the head, which later proved fatal, were received by John G. Phillips, 65, single, of Huntly, when he was knocked down by a motor car on the Great South road, near Huntly, last evening. The motor car, which was driven by Joseph Clark, of Otahuhu, was crossing 'the railway line when the accident occurred. Phillips, who was on foot, was thrown heavily. Ho was taken to Huntly Hospital and an ambulance was summoned to take him to Hamilton Hospital, hut ho died before the ambulance arrived.
