FIVE CANDIDATES STAND (Per Presß Association.) DUNEDIN, this day. Five candidates were nominated for the citv Mayoralty, Mr. R. S. .Black, the pretent Mayor, Mr. F. W. Mitchell, tiie deputy-Mayor, the Rev. E. T. Cox, Mr. C. M. Moss, and Mr. M. O’Rorke, a Communist. Twenty-six candidates, including full Citizens’ and Labor tickets, are standing for 12 seats on the City Council. The Labor Party is not contesting the Mayoralty. AUCKLAND NOMINATIONS (Per Press Association.) ' AUCKLAND, this day. Mr. G. W. Hutchison, the sitting Mayor* and Mr. H. G. R. Mason, M.P., have been nominated for the city Mayoralty. There are 43 candidates for 21 seats on the City Council.
