The Parnell team, which won the Auckland senior championship, included two New Zealand representatives, P. E. Whitelaw and 11. G. Poverty Bay. —G. N. Lockett (cap tain), M. K. Boon (vice-captain), W Parson, M. (Sharp, 0. «J. Robertson, S Ward, S. Reeves, B. Scholium, 0, Eraser, P. Dow, and E. Dow.

Robertson and Parson opened for Poverty Bay, and Parson’s was the first wicket to fall. He scored a couple of fours early in his innings, but when he had scored 211 the High School lad played a ball from McCoy on to his wicket, the partnership having produced 42. Eraser joined Robertson, and at midday the pair had carried the score on to OS, Robertson having scored 28 and Eraser JO.
