SEQUEL TO ARREST
YOUNG MAN CHARGED
STATEMENT BY COUNSEL (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Cyril Otto: Foothcad, 22, appeared in court to-day charged with assaulting David Browning at Hataitai. Detective Sergeant Re veil said Detectives Robinson and Gampin had prosecuted inquiries during the night ami at 4 o’clock arrested the accused. Counsel for the accused intimated that the accused intended to plead guilty. It was only fair to state that, it was not a ease of attempted robbery. There was much more in it, than appeared on tho surface, ho said. ’l’he police wore granted a remand, bail being allowed in the sum of £SO.
