NEW SCHOLARSHIP

FACILITIES TO STUDY (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. An announcement of a new scholarship, known as tho Iliaft Baker Scholarship, for graduates of tho University of New Zealand, was made by Dr. Might, rector of Canterbury Collcgo. The scholarship, which has been endowed by Mr. Hiatt Baker in memory of his son who was killed in the Napier earthquake, is to tho valuo of £2OO a year, tenable for two years, and may bo extended for a third year. Election to tho scholarship is made by the vice-chancellor of tho Bristol University, England, where scholars are ex pected to continue their studies in one of the subjects for which degrees arc awarded.
