A happy little function took place this afternoon when the staff of the Gisborne office of Messrs. Williams and Kettle, Limited, assembled to offer their best wishes to Mr. S. M. Wiliams, manager of l.lie shipping and wool departments of the firm, who is to be married next week. The, wedding gift from the staff was a handsome clock, which was presented to Mr. Williams by the general manager, Mr. R. W. B. Willock, who congratulated him upon tho approaching event, and extended to him the best wishes of all members of the staff. Mr. Williams leaves Gisborne tomorrow morning en route to Greytown, where his marriage to Sister R. Fuller will take plaeij on Tuesday.
