A joint deputation from tho Anglfcan, Presbyterian, • Methodist, Baptist and Congregational Churches waited on the Auckland University College Council to advocate the granting of degrees in theology. “We believe it is a reproach to the university,” said Mr. E. J. Tjpler on behalf of tlic deputation, “that graduates should bo forced to leavo New Zealand to obtain academic recognition of their theological studies.” The council decided to give Dr. H.
