POSITION IMPROVED 103,000 MORE IN WORK (British Official Wireless.) Rcc. 10 a.m. RUGBY, April 5. During March there was an increase of 103,000 in the number of persons employed, and a decrease of 80,54-1 in the number of registered unemployed. A large proportion of the increased employment was in the building industry, where there were 52,000 fewer unemployed. There was also some improvement in other trades, but there was a decline in coalmining, cotton and hosiery industries, and dock and harbor services. Details of registered unemployed on March 20 were: 2,230,211 men, 08,232 boys, 423,083 women, and 54,638 girls.
