INDIAN AGED 130
“MAN WHO NEVER SLEPT" BOMBAY, Feb. 22. A man 130 years old, who is popularly believed never to have slept, figures in (lie official returns of the Central Provinces census. Tho superintendent in charge of the census refers to two extraordinary cases of longevity. Tho first is the man mentioned, and tho second a shopkeeper, aged 1.10, who still reads the Koran daily. Both cases are believed to be authentic. The superintendent adds: “The older man’s case has been investigated closely by the Nagpur census officer, and is declared locally to be 130. He claims to remember the second Mysorc War and the submission of Sultan Tinnoo. ’ ’ Even allowing for considerable exaggeration, the. man’s age must be 130, I'i'til 1018 the mail was not in tho habit of going to bed, a short-nap in a chair being sufficient for him.
