MAN BEFORE COURT
EX-M.P. THREATENED (Par Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. For threatening Mr 11. (J. Ell, exM.P., who who is in charge of work on the Summit road, James Dowdall, was to-day convicted and discharged, but was lined £2 for using indecent language. The police alleged that; Dowdall, who formerly was employed oil the hills, said ho would break Mr Ell’s neck or hang for him. A dispute had occurred over the ownership of a barrmv. Dowdall admitted that lie lost his temper.
