In consequence of the Japanese reoccupation of Hsimenghai, further Chinese attacks are not expected in the Shanhaikwan region, all hope of the recapture of Jeliol thus being destroyed. General TanJ Yu-Lin, after his crushing defeat at Fengning, has disappeared, and his followers are scattered.
