DARGAVILLE CASE

APPEALS BY JOCKEYS DISQUALIFICATION LIFTED (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, last night. A further .development in the Dargaville racing disqualification case occurred at a meeting of the Auckland District Racing Committee, when applications by I. E. Horne and A. 0. Murray, jockeys, for the removal of the disqualification for 12 months imposed upon them were granted. The case concerns the running of the President’s Handicap at Dnrgavillo on December 3 last, when the winner was Alloy, with Tetrachate second and Hannibal third, and Thespis and Bronze Tray unplaced. Horne, rider of Hannibal, and Murray, rider of Bronze Tray, were disqualified for 12 months on the ground that they conspired to assist Tetrachate to win. The committee’s decision means that the disqualification has now been lifted.
