WELLINGTON, this day. The latest unemployed figures issued by the board show 60,384 men as a charge op the board’s funds, engaged as follows: No. 5 scheme, 44,964: subsidised on farms under No. 4a, 4b, farm camp schemes, etc., 8183: land improvement and development, 2102; highways and backblock roads. 1977; afforestation, 291; bhildirig subsidy, 2187; gold prospecting, exclusive of 1469 under 'scheme No. &, 348; miscellaneous, subsidised in Various industrials, ’338. ’ Of 'the" whole total, it is estimated that' 30,000 are on work of a definite reproductive and developmental nature in connection with primary industries
