WORK MAY RESUME
LINTON COAL MINE (Per Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, this day. It is understood that an effort, will bo 1 made to resume work at the Linton coal mine this morning, in the hope of bringing to an end the strike .which has lasted more than six months. A.- section of the unionists lias been anxious for the strike to end so that they could resume work, but as the majority are not in favor of resuming on the owners’ terms, it has been impossible to make progress. It is stated that the opportunity will be given to-day for such miners as are prepared to accept work to do so.
