The pleasure of landing one of the largest trout caught this season fell to Mr. John Montgomery,' of Christchurch, a few days ago. Using a ewe wasp fly at Waikaremoann, Mr. Montgomery landed a well conditioned 15-lb fish, and thereby earned the hearty congratulations of his fellow delegates to the conference of the New Zealand Newspaper Proprietors' ; Association.
