Next. q&jif child was still ini the same comatose state. Nurse Kerr asked him for something to free the child from pain during the night. He gave her pfic tablfeti to he used half, at night and half in the morning. The tablet would contain five or six grains of veronal. Next morning he received an urgent call’ from Nurse Kerr. He found the child in a grave condition aufi '-pot think she would survive. Hp .insisted that she he returned to hospital,’ and went with her in the ambulance. Two days later the child had vastly improved. On the following day Nurse Kerr telephoned him saying that, she had just come from the hospital and the cMld did not seem much better. She said, she was veiy worried., and .would hearing the %pisal, and then ring.her. He i .rang the hospital at about 6 o’clock in the evening, and then rang Nurse Kerr and told her the child was not so well.
