FOUR DIE: 11 BURNED

SCOTTISH COLLIERY FIRE / GLASGOW, Nov. 6. Four were dead and 11 seriously burned as a result of an explosion in tho pit of the Cardowan Colliery at Stepps, near here early to-day. This is tho third disaster to fall on miners in the United Kingdom within five days. On Saturday 25 miners were lulled 'by an explosion in the Edgefield Colliery," Aston-in-Makerfield, near Wigan, and on Monday two miners were killed in an explosion in the Peasa and Partners colliery at'Ushaw Moor, near Durham. On October 10, a cage descending into n pit broke its gearing, and 19 miners were killed as the cage dashed to the ‘bottom of tho Leigh Park Lane Collieiv. also near Wigan.
