DROWNED IN MOTUEKA RIVER
(Per Press Association.) NELSON, tins day. Beniamin Arthur Griffin, 16, son of jili' A R. Griffin, Nelson, was drowned in the Motueka River at Ngatimoti yesterday while swimming. In attempting to cross the river, winch is about 40 yards without a rest on t ie bridge pier in Ini middle, he got into difficulties and disappeared. The boy was located near the point t f his sinking about 20 minutes afterwards.
