DISCUSSION BY .CONFERENCE

(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The draft- regulations under the Motor Vehicles .Act were discussed at a‘conference to-day presided over by the Commissioner. of Transport, Mr. J. S. Hunter, to receive suggestions of amendments from various bodies. Many points of importance were discussed in an informal way, and a good deal of ground was covered. Lighting and braking took up a good deal of time owing to the English practice, in many cases, being not in • accordance with the New Zealand regulations

Huntingdon was scratched at 11 o'clock this morning for the Auckland Railway Handicap.—P.A.
