The Swedish cargo steamer Oden.sholm (2818 tons) has gone aground on Burnt Head; 15 miles north-east of Cape Race, and is considered to bo a total loss. More than GO persons were injured, the majority of them .women and children, when a fire broke out during a performance at a cinema at Laredo, in the Spanish province of Santander. Peter Veregin, loader of the 15,000 Doukhobor citizens of Canada, who is serving a term of 18 months’ imprisonment for perjury, is to bo deported, says a Yorkton, Saskatchewan, message.
