While a large crowd, including reporters and photographers, waited for Mrs. Keith .Miller on the docks* Mrs. Miller descended a ladder and. landed at the quayside higher up the Thames, where she met Captain Lancaster and drove swiftly away in a motor car, taking only a small suitcase. A liner official said Captain Lancaster and Mrs. Miller were anxious to avoid publicity, and the company agreed to allow her to leave before the vessel docked.
