RELIEF WORKS STRIKE
SEQUEL TO DISMISSAL TROUBLE AT NEW PLYMOUTH (Por Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, (his day. Relief workers employed on the aerodrome at New Plymouth have refused work owing to a dispute with the' foreman, who dismissed olio 'man owing to alleged “go slow” tactics. The gang has refused to work until the foreman is dismissed. 'The Wat or,sillers’ Union, offering sympathy, has donated £lO to the relief section’s funds and called upon the foreman to resign his seat on the Taranaki Workers’ Council, and the presidency of the Labor Sports Committee. A dozen wives of strikers Waited at the Hospital Board office yesterday to seek assistance, but tro meeting of the board was mail.
