EVIDENCE FROM OTTAWA LONDON, Oct. 20. During the debate on the Ottawa agreements, Mr L. Ilore-Belislui said, in regard to meat, that the home producer would gain from the progressive diminution of foreign imports, and [he purchasing power of the colonies would be increased. 'l'liey would turn to Britain for goods now bought, largely from foreign manufacturers. Ottawr was evidence that one-quarter of the world’s inhabitants were prepared ti remove obstruction to mutual trade, showing solidarity in a disunited world. The debate was adjourned.
