While working a disc-harrows, Mr. G. White, farmer, Wharekaka, fell from the machine, receiving painful injuries to tho arm, which required several stitches. The friends of Mrs. J. R. Murphy will regret to learn that she was conveyed to the Cook Hospital, Gisborne, yesterday morning. Mrs. G. Boreliam is visiting Mrs. E. Grey, Wairoa.—Mesdumes Herbert and Slipper have returned from a brief ptay in Gisborne.
Tho opening of the (Bowling Club takes place in Tolaga Bay on Monday, and the committee is planning the usual celebrations.
Owing to the abundance of feed on tho roads tho council allowed the stock to eoino out on Monday morning. Within a couple of hours several cows were blown, Mr. P. M. Burgess losing a valuable Jersey in this manner. The bright days and showery nights nro causing the growth to be phenomenal, the grass and clover on the roadsides being knee.high in places. The Misses Barns-Graham, Gisborne, are the guests of Mrs. J. L. Reeves.
