SEASON’S OPENING COMPETITIONS TO-MORROW The Saturday first grade competition organised lay the Poverty Bay Cricket Association will commence to-morrow, when six teams will, take tlie field. The association’s grounds committee lias spent much time and effort in the preparation of the, wickets, and a good afterpoon’s play is assured providing the weather conditions are favorable. Teams for tho opening matches of the season have been nominated as under City (v. Old Boys). —Bayliss, Bragg, JR. Dow, I‘. Dow, Ellis, Eraser, Lloyd, McMahon, Mahoney, Robinson and Stewart.
