WAIPUKURAU CAMP
FIELD DAY AND SPORTS GISBORNE SUCCESSES / The First Battalion, Hawke’s Bay Regiment, including a company from Gisborne, at present in camp in Waipukurau, held a field day and sports meeting on the racecourse on Wednesday last, in the results of which Gisborne names figure prominently. The weather was tine and warm and an enjoyable afternoon’s sport was witnessed. There was a good attendance of visitors, and the pleasure of the afternoon was added to by a selected programme of music by the Regimental Band. Tho Gisborne company, which is in charge of Captain A. Blackburn, has been in camp for the past week and will return home to-morrow.
