Mr “ Al” Smith, former Governor of Now York State and Democratic candidate for the Presidency at the last election, has become editor ol the American, political and economic review, “Outlook”—a pdst once held hr tlre : late-Mn /Theodore Roosevelt. Mr Smith’s salary is reported to be £7500 a year, Tho magazine was recently purchased for £I3OO. For some time it has suspended publication, and wi.l re appear under Mr. Smith's editorship in October as the “New Outlook.
