A largo service at which four children were christened was conducted in Ruatoria by the Rev. Mr. Haig and the Rev. G. Budd, Auckland. After the service all adjourned to the residence of Mrs W. H. O. Johnstone, whore afternoon tea was dispensed. Among those present were Mr and Mrs A. L. Kemp, Mr and Mrs 11. F. Smyth, Mesdamos A. D. Littlejohn, Bullard, Jones, W. Town,son, Haig, Hanson (Wanganui), Wldtty, O. Woodford, Barren, J. Ryan, and M. Hickey and Misses P. Clowes, and Saunders. The Ngatiporou Dairy Company is still maintaining its high standard in manufacture and this has increased in quantity by 60 per cent, over the corresponding period last year, tlic weather this spring is ideal lot daily - ing and tho pastures are all coming away well; the prospects so tar point to a record season. Now that the cream trucks arc running daily the great majority of the suppliers are obtaining finest grade for their cream. 1). Felton, e Ilati, 1* Tuheke ... H W.
