TO EXPLORE INDIA’S HOT AIR
LONDON, Oct. 1. The British Government, the Frapkfurt correspondent of the Times states, has appointed the champion _ glider, Robert Kxonfeld, to visit India, and examine the possibilities of motor-less flights in the tropics. ~ He will especially gather experience of “thermic” flight, based on the exploitation of hot air currents rising under ; the influence of the sun’s rays. He will study the suitability of the Indian coastlines with'favorable winds and the organisation of a regular service of motorless aeroplanes. " Kronfeld will take his favorite glider, Vienna.
