On Friday night' Mr. Tui Morgan s garage in Grey town was entered and a safe containing £ls was stolen. To-day is the last day on which Gisborne borough ratepayers will be able to secure the discount offered on the current year’s rates. A total of £OI,OOO was levied, and up to last Friday £10,968 Fad been collected, including the discount allowed. At the corresponding date last year £9451 had been received.
