ADELAIDE TOURNAMENT MISS TOLHURST DEFEATED (Elec. Tel. Copyrieht— United Press A"sn.) ADELAIDE, Aug. 30. . A feature of the golf tournament was tho defeat of the title-holder, Miss Susie Tolhur.st, by Miss MacLeod. The winner was four down at the fifth, but staged a magnificent recovery to become all square at the seventeenth. Miss l’olhurst, who was bunkered with her iron shot, narrowly misspd a 20ft. putt to halve the last. Her long shots were erratic. The quarter-finals resulted: Miss Mari-ie d. Miss Nunkivell, three ami two; Miss McLeod d. Miss Tolhurst, one up; Miss Russell d. Miss Green, two and one; Mrs. Ebert d. Mrs. Lefebre at at the nineteenth. ___
