MARKETING OUTLOOK

BRIGHTER tone overseas The necessity for the fusion of interests between the Dominion Co-operative Karin Products Federation and the New Zealand Co-operative Pig Marketing Association was stressed by Mr. 8. Lye, managing director of the WaikatoThames Valley Calf By-products Company. in Hamilton. Mr. Lye said that at a meeting of the federation in Wellington the question of handling all classes of pigs for export was considered. The federation hud been asked to form a marketing organisation. Hitherto it had been regarded as unwise to interfere with the operations of tho present marketing association. Mr. Lye added that there was a distinctly brighter tone regarding the selling prospects of bobby calf skins in the northern hemisphere. English buyers especially were displaying keen interest, though they would accept no risks with scratched skins.
