L. il. lluhf, qf Mount Eden Presbyterian Church, Auckland, has announced .his intention to resign at tlie next meeting of the presbytery, having accepted an appointment to the Ivarori Presbyterian Church, Wellington. .. . ~ Mr Arthur Young, .Wellington, .who until lie resigned in, April last had been honorary Consul for Japan for the ,preceding 10 years, has been honored by the Emperor of Japan with the Imperial Order of the Rising. Sun (fifth class). The Order, which is a very handsome decoration, was founded in 1875 and comprises eight classes. Mr Young has received the insignia and diploma.
