ANOTHER ART UNION
LICENSE APPROVED POVERTY BAY TO BENEFIT (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, last; night. The Government lias approved a license being issued for a further £4OOO alluvial gold art union to financially aid a number of institutions whose funds have' been seriously depleted by the depression. The societies to benefit by the art union, which will be drawn on (September 24, are the following:— “Smith family,” or the Mayor’s fund for relief of distress in the four centres.

(Central Otago A. and V. Association. The New Zealand Amateur ‘Swimming Association for the promotion of instruction in swimming among school children throughout New Zealand; arid The ' Now Zealand branch of the Royal Life Saving Society for assistance to the surf Hubs.
