BRILLIANT HOCKEY

N.Z. TEAM’S EASY WIN WARWICK BEATEN BY 13—1 (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) WARWICK, July 28. Taking complete control of the game in the first few minutes, the New Zealand hockey tourists overwhelmed a Warwick eleven, running up goals with monotonous regularity, and eventually winning by 13 to 1. Though the match was one-sided, it featured a brilliant exibilion of the game on the part of the visitors, whose tour of Queensland thus far has been characterised by easy victories. I heir combination was wonderful, especially amongst the forwards, who completely nonplussed the local players by their speed, attack and tactics, especially the moves of Anthony, Bay and Rodgers, which invariably ended in goals, lhc backs, too, combined with uncanny accuracy, outstanding being Parker, who played hockey of n type seldom seen in Queensland; and Bollard and Munro were also conspicuous. The visitors scored within five minutes of opening and, with the exception of two occasions, were on the attack for the greater part of the first half, during which seven goals were netted, the score at half-time being 7—o. In the second half, the New Zealanders again took control of affairs and early added an additional three. goals in quick succession. then Warwick, foi the first time, seemed to have the upper hand, but the advantage was short lived. The visitors dominated play for the remainder of the game, winning by 13 to 1. , Goals were scored by Anthony (.6), Dodgers (5). Bay and Best (1): and for 'Warwick, Stewart (1). The teams were :
