NEW GOLF CLUB

FORMATION AT ROTORUA A decision to form a golf club for play ou tho newly-formed golf links in the Government grounds at Rotorua was made at a meeting this week. Mr. C. Tapper presided.

Tile new links are a great acquisition to the town. They are situated on the lake side in picturesque surroundings. The area was formerly waste scrub land.

The chairman said the proposal for tlie formation of a club was not in any way in opposition to the golf links tit Whakarewarewa, but to assist the Government to complete the links. If this were done, he considered that eventually (he club would have one of the best links in the country It was decided to name the club tho Montutara Golf Club.
