Pukeko, Waimea, bound from Auckland to Gisborne and delayed by rough weather, should reach Gisborne shortly after nightfall. An Invercargill business man who has interests in several centres expresses the opinion that Nelson is the most prosperous province in the Dominion at present. This he attributes to apples, tobacco arid hops. These industries are thriving, and are the means of circulating a largo amount of money and providing work for a great many who would otherwise be unemployed. Tobacco-growing is increasing, and the informant said that as much as £IOO an acre is paid for suitable land. Six Napier boys with a flair for adventure created a good deal of anxiety on Tuesday evening, when it was reported that they had gone to sea in a boat and had not returned. The beaches were patrolled all night by police and anxious parents without any trace being discovered, but yesterday afternoon three of the boys—Fascoe, Williams and Steel —were located in an improvised camp on the bank of the Tutaekuri.
